Friday will be an open practice session for ANY type of full-sized racecar including Sprint Cars, Stock Cars, Legends Cars, ARDC Midgets and 600cc Micro Sprints. 

Saturday Gates open @ 3:00 p.m.; Practice @ 5:15 p.m. w/racing @ 6:00 p.m.

358 Late Model Susquehanna Showdown

The 50-lap 358 Late Model feature event will pay a guaranteed $3,000 to the winner and is sponsored by Cumberland Trucking and W&W Racing Tires.  A bonus of $25,000 is available for the winning driver in victory lane as two envelopes from 20 envelopes will be drawn to see if that driver is the winner of the bonus.  The bonus money will be paid a later date once the winning envelopes are verified.  All qualifying will be done through heats, C-Main and B-Main events.  There will be an inversion drawn for the feature event (either 4, 6 or 8 / 3, 6 or 9 depending on the number of heat races needed).  A blind draw will determine the heat race lineups.

The 25^th starter will be the highest driver in the 2008 SSP regular season point standings who did not qualify for the feature event.

Specification Rules (Contact Larry Miller at Miller’s Racing Parts for questions 717-766-0181 or millersrp@verizon.net):  Susquehanna Speedway Park Late Model rules (www.sspracing.net) will be in effect EXCEPT for the following:

Tires - Hoosier Spec tires are the only tires allowed with compounds D35, D45 or D55 only (Can run on any corner).  The only sizes permitted are 88.0, 90.0 and 92.0.  Tires DO NOT have to have HTMA stamp on them for this race only.  No grinding off any numbers on the tire or altering the tire including chemically treating the tire.  Anyone caught altering their tires will be disqualified for the night and will not receive any payoff.

Engines – 2008 Susquehanna Speedway Park Engine Rules will be in effect for this race.

Weight- Cars must weigh a minimum of 2,300 lbs. after the race.

Misc. Rules - No traction control devices of any kind is permitted.  Alcohol or gasoline permitted.  No additives allowed of any kind including top lube.  All other rules will be in accordance with the 2008 SSP Rulebook.

Safety: Cars must have approved racing seat and 5 point seat belts, Drivers must use an approved racing suit and helmet (Snell SA90 or newer).  Window nets and/or arm restraints, gloves and shoes are highly recommended.   

Remaining Late Model Races at SSP: Sat., Aug. 23; Sat., Aug. 30; Sat., Sept. 6; Sat., Sept. 13.

Legends Cars Regional Qualifier Race

The 40-lap Legends Cars feature event (mandated by INEX) will pay $500.00 to the winner.  All qualifying will be done through heats, C-Main and B-Main events.  There will be an inversion drawn for the feature event (either 4, 6 or 8 / 3, 6 or 9 depending on the number of heat races needed).  A blind draw will determine the heat race lineups.  The top finisher in each division (Pro, Masters, Semi-Pro) will receive an automatic provisional starting spot for the 2008 Legends Cars Dirt Nationals.

Combined Division Feature Payoff: 1^st $500; 2^nd $250; 3^rd $200; 4^th $150; 5^th $125; 6^th $100; 7^th $85; 8^th $75; 9^th $65; 10^th $55; 11^th $50; 12^th $40 13^th $30; 14^th $25; 15^th $25; 16^th $25; 17^th $25; 18^th $25; 19^th $25; 20^th $25; 21^st $25; 22^nd $25; 23^rd $25; 24^th $25.

If divisions are separated into separate feature races (Pro, Semi-Pro, Masters), new purse breakdowns will be posted.
